Overall, the meetings were helpful. I attended a group in St Charles County and topics such as medications, symptoms, getting on Disability, etc. were discussed. On at least one occasion, however, a meeting wasn't handled appropriately by the leader in my opinion, and I chose to leave, as did another individual. Looking back on all of the NAMI meetings I consistently attended, I feel, for the most part, that they were well worth my time, and provided support.
