How long have you been in business?
Movers Matic started in May 2016 but I've been in the moving business for over 7 years.
What is your primary product or service?
Home and office relocations.

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I've always moved a lot as a kid and got to know a lot of moving companies that way. I saw some of the best and the worst in the business and decided that I could provide a great service from this knowledge.
I started up a small, local moving business when I was at college. I was just helping other students move in and out of dorms and into apartments and other dwellings. Students are usually quite time and money poor so my service was set up to help them with this. I didn't own a truck at that stage and I hired a ute or truck (depending on the size of the move) and charged them for the hire and my time. It was always less than the big moving companies who had staff to pay and office costs. I was running it out of my own dorm room!
I advertized by putting posters around college campuses and word of mouth.
Once I graduated from college and tried the office career, I realized I actually prefer the moving business and have worked towards setting up my own moving business ever since then.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Customer service - we try to be as friendly as possible.
On time service - we guarantee to arrive on time and provide a timely service
Price - our rates are extremely competitive and we provide a lot of extra advice and support. We are flexible and can make stops on the way or whatever customizations are necessary.
We try very hard to have all our customers want to use us again and again. Word of mouth recommendations are the most important to us and we aim to keep every one of our customers happy.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
At the moment we have St Louis but we are intending to expand locally throughout MO and IL and then across the country.
